We are committed to providing support where it is needed most
Le Gallais actively supports worthy causes and initiatives that enhance island life and the wider environment, here are few we are passionate about.
Durrell Wldlife Conservation Trust
Le Gallais have partnered with Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust for another year as part of our commitment to helping the environment, both in Jersey and overseas.
During 2024, Le Gallais' investment in Rewild Carbon enabled the planting and nurture of approximately 152 trees in Brazil's Atlantic Forest area from a wide variety of native species. As they grow, these trees will absorb nearly 30 tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere
Our investment is also helping to provide sustainable livelihoods for the local communities, as well as creating vital forest habitat for the many threatened species of mammals and birds who live there.

Green Travel Policy
We have invested in encouraging all of our team to use active, low-carbon travel wherever possible. We use E-bikes and have an E-car on site for all staff to hop in to glide to appointments or between our self storage facilities in style whilst being kind to the environment.

Charity Christmas Pétanque
Le Gallais Self Storage was proud to sponsor the recent annual Gorey Christmas pétanque competition in aid of Headway despite it not getting off to the best of starts! As a result of everyone’s endeavours, a total of £725 was raised for Headway Jersey. On behalf of Le Gallais Self-Storage we would like to say big thank you to those that participated and to the Gorey community for their generosity and support. A special thanks goes to The Pembroke for their contribution to the raffle prizes.

The Shelter Trust
The Shelter Trust was established over 30 years ago and is now the largest provider of accommodation and support services for the homeless community in Jersey. Nobody sets out to be or to remain homeless. The main aim of the Trust is to accommodate homeless people for as short a time as is practically possible before their return to mainstream accommodation and living. Le Gallais is proud to support The Shelter Trust.

Durrell Tortoise Takeover
When we heard about the Tortoise Takeover and were keen to be involved. We were lucky to win our first choice of amazing artists taking part, and Katherine Kadin didn't disappoint with her "Puffling" design highlighting the sadly deceasing number of puffins inhabiting the north coast of Jersey.

National Love to Ride, Cycle to work Challenge
Le Gallais employees literally "got on their bikes" to support the local government challenge to highlight active travel. We entered the National 20-49 employee class and came in 1st place across the whole UK for the number of miles and frequency of trips on our daily commute. Cycling for us is now a habit!
As a business, if we can help to reduce the amount of traffic on the road, then this helps people who really do need to drive get to where they need to more efficiently. Fresh air, exercise and a predictable commuting time are just some of the other benefits.
